1. What is the advantage of using Dermtech services instead of setting up your own laboratory staff? Since our focus is on the MOHS laboratory aspect of your surgery case, we have a significant amount of experience and efficiency than most in-house laboratory staff. This allows you to concentrate your resources elsewhere, increase caseloads, assure accuracy and give the best possible care to your patients.
2. What are your MOHS technicians’ qualifications? All of our technicians are career-oriented professionals trained in the Mohs laboratory field, from the owners of the company down to each of our staff technicians. Each is also thoroughly trained to use our on-site software application system that monitors the process that ensures you complete service fulfillment.
3. Are there discounts if we have on-site equipment? Yes. However, using our equipment benefits you with prompt and high-quality results while eliminating the need for in-house laboratory maintenance or equipment upgrade costs.
4. What are your staining procedures and are special stains available? We perform Hematoxylin and Eosin (H&E) staining, as well as requests for special staining applications. Only high-quality stains, equipment and procedures are used. 5. How much time do you need before scheduling service? A minimum of two weeks reservation is requested prior to surgery day.
6. Who handles CLIA documentation and number identification? We provide your office with a CLIA required Mohs log book, which is kept up to date at your office. Since CLIA does not assign lab numbers to mobile laboratories, we work under your CLIA number under the direction of your surgical physician.
7. Do you require a service agreement? Yes. There is a standard service agreement provided for your review that guarantees our scheduling dates and terms of service. 8. What are your fee schedule and payment options? Our fee schedule is a Seven (7) day payment term, by Credit Card or check payment only. 9. Is there a cancellation fee? One (1) week service cancellation notice is required to avoid a penalty fee. A service agreement will be signed by both parties to guarantee service dates.
10. Are there extra equipment or travel expenses for local /Statewide (California) A service rate per site will be agreed with our clients within our coverage area with in the 60 miles radius from Glendale California. This will include everything from supplies and with or without a Cryostat including travel cost. A travel charge of $ 0.65 per mile is added for trips exceeding our 60 miles coverage radius
11. OUT OF STATE SERVICES Out of State service pricing depending on volume and varies on transportation and lodging expense that our client will handle. This includes airfare / 4 Star lodging and Land Transportation.
12. What are your hours of service? We are available Monday thru Friday and Saturday if requested. If any of our regular technicians are unavailable to work, our extra staffing and management team are always available to fill-in to ensure complete service on the schedule day.
12. Where is your service coverage area? We currently serve the Southern and Northern California. Out of State service is available upon request.
